The Lord Mayor’s Photographic Awards is an opportunity for you to become involved in Brisbane’s cultural life by celebrating images that reflect Brisbane’s creative lifestyle.
The Photographic Awards invite professional photographers to submit images they feel represent an expressive, energetic and enthusiastic Brisbane.
Cash prizes are awarded to category winners. The three categories and their cash prizes are:
- Open Category – $10,000
- Tertiary category – $2,000
- People’s Choice Award – $1,000
SUBMIT A PHOTO:
Entrants may portray any aspect of Brisbane – images can capture elements of our daily life, the diverse and multicultural communities of Brisbane or natural or constructed environments. The judges are looking for creative and innovative entries that capture and represent Brisbane’s creative lifestyle. Please avoid stereotypical images of Brisbane (e.g. Sunsets over the Story Bridge, generic panoramas, and obvious landmarks).
The judging panel devises a list of finalists in each category from the documentation supplied. The judging panel considers all approved entries from which the finalists and prize winners will be selected.
