The Nat Yuen Collection of Chinese Antiquities comprises over 80 pieces donated to The University of Queensland since 1994 by Dr Nat Yuen. Dr Yuen has long been connected to The University of Queensland. He graduated in Medicine in 1965, was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Medicine in 1995, and in 2010 received the UQ International Alumnus of the Year Award. A resident of Hong Kong, Dr Yuen has collected Chinese antiquities for over 25 years. His gifts to the University span 5,000 years of Chinese culture, with Chinese antiquities ranging from the Neolithic period to late Qing dynasty ceramics. The collection provides a rich resource for students and scholars of Chinese antiquities, and the general community.
