Undercover Artist Festival

Undercover Artist Festival is now seeking Expressions of Interest from artists with disability or who are D/deaf to present their work at Undercover Artist Festival 2021, to be held 15-18 September 2021. 

Founded by Access Arts, Undercover Artist aims to lift the covers on some of Australia’s newest talents in the arts and disability space.

This is an incredible opportunity for emerging and professional artists from across Australia to showcase their work at Australia’s premier performing arts and disability festival. We are looking for exciting works with something to say. We want to showcase the boldest and brightest artists with disability, on stage over four astonishing days.

Undercover Artist Festival program in 2021 will bend the rules, push artistic boundaries, and contribute to the broader movement towards greater recognition for artists with disability.

Held from 15-18 September 2021, Undercover Artist Festival partners with Brisbane Festival to bring together a game changing arts festival, not to be missed.

In 2021, there are two ways you can submit an Expression of Interest: Creative and Community.

CREATIVE – showcases professional disability-led works that are polished and performance-ready.

COMMUNITY – features workshops, discussions and community group presentations or performances.

Please note that you do not need to be performance-ready at time of application but need to demonstrate how your work will be performance-ready in time for the Festival.
