We are extremely excited to invite you all to our first mous magazine INFORM discussion panel of 2018: Working for Free in the Creative Industries.
Navigating the world of internships, residencies, freelancing, collaborations and creative business can be a very daunting task, particularly when it comes to the issue of being paid for your creative labour. This month our panel will feature creative industries professionals who will provide insight into the dilemma of when, how long and why (or why not) to work for free in the creative industries.
Joining our Brisbane panel will be account director and community festival organiser Bernard Raffaut, photographer and graphic designer Savannah van der Niet, and co-producer of publication and events company GRAIN Brodie Popple.
Joining our Melbourne panel will be freelance writer Dani Leever, illustrator and artist Yan Yan Candy NG and founders of Lousy Ink Oli Ruskidd and Mike Eleven.

The Panels
Each month we will host a panel where industry professionals will answer questions and provide insight into their field. This year, our panel discussions will take place in both Brisbane and Melbourne each month! They will explore the same topic but with different panellists in each state, giving more of you the chance to participate in person.
Our Partners
This year, we are very excited to announce a new partnership with the Brunswick Mechanics Institute, which will be the home of our Melbourne panel discussions. Our Brisbane panel discussions will, once again, be supported by our continuing partnership with the fantastic people at Metro Arts.
Panel Discussion – 26th April, 7:00 – 8:30pm @ Metro Arts Brisbane
