In Reflect (Refract), Wilkes admires the “astonishing creations” formed by the natural world and reflects on the artist’s relationship to nature. Inspired by the glacial regions of Alberta and British Columbia in Western Canada, the artist focuses on depicting the elements of water and the intoxicating landscapes which encompass them. Wilkes’ is currently based in Brisbane and works across oil painting and photography.
