Join us for a special in-conversation event with artists Dylan Mooney and Casey Coolwell as they discuss their practice and their mural collaboration at QUT Garden’s Point. This event is presented in collaboration with QUT Pride Staff Network and QUT Galleries and Museums.
Please note: The event will be held in the courtyard behind B Block opposite the Elder’s Garden on Kennedy Way within the QUT Gardens Point campus.
Casey Coolwell is a Quandamooka, Nunukul woman of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island, Queensland) and co-owner with Roy Fisher of successful Brisbane based Aboriginal owned and operated small business, Chaboo, telling their stories through hand painted home décor, murals and graphic design.
Dylan Mooney is a proud Yuwi, Torres Strait and South Sea Islander man from Mackay (North Queensland) working across painting, printmaking, digital illustration and drawing. Influenced by history, culture and family, Mooney responds to community stories, current affairs and social media. Mooney’s work is currently featured in the 24th Sydney Biennale, Ten Thousand Suns, 9 March – 10 June 2024.

Event: Tuesday 30th April – 12:30pm – 1:30pm
