Riddergade AIR is calling for applications from professional visual artists from all over the world for their three-month residency programme in Viborg, Denmark, in 2025.
The purpose of Riddergade AIR is to create connections between the residents and Danish artists and to facilitate new opportunities for international development of the Danish contemporary art scene.
With Riddergade AIR, Viborg Kunsthal offers artists workshop facilities, assistance for tasks of a practical and artistic nature as well as access to a broad local, national and international network.
The dates of the residency are Spring (3 March – 2 June 2025) or Autumn (25 August – 24 November 2025).
Support
- Workshop facilities at the Viborg Art Gallery and accommodation
- A travel grant of 3,000 DKK
- A monthly stipend of 5,000 DKK to cover living costs, transport as well as materials and production
- Professional collaboration and exchanges with the art gallery’s staff, local artists, curators and other actors
- A locally rooted network of volunteer co-hosts who introduce to the local area
