Created specifically for Night Feast, Total Vibration is a major site-specific installation by Gadigal/Sydney artist Jonny Niesche, transforming the Stores Studio into an immersive environment of reflection, sound and movement.
Two enormous flexible mirrors — one horizontal and one vertical — face each other across the space, rippling, trembling and shimmering in response to a soundtrack by British electronic musician Mark Pritchard.
Niesche’s practice sits between painting, sculpture and immersive installation, using materials such as mirror and voile to create hypnotic environments that shift and respond to light and sound. For Total Vibration, his visual installation is paired with Pritchard’s electronic soundscape to create a constantly changing sensory experience.
