Museum of Brisbane and Shayher Group have entered a landmark three-year partnership to create opportunities for local artists and audiences as Brisbane prepares for 2032.
With a shared interest in elevating local artists and contributing to a vibrant creative economy, the partnership will support major exhibitions and community programs, advancing the Museum’s mission to engage locals and visitors with uniquely Brisbane experiences.
As Principal Partner, Shayher Group will support a major exhibition in 2027, a new guided tour and Museum of Brisbane pop-ups at Brisbane Quarter.
Shayher Group Director John Lin said supporting the arts is an investment in the future of the city.
“Shayher Group believes the arts are vital to creating a sense of community and enriching the everyday experience. We are proud to join Museum of Brisbane as Principal Partner and support an organisation that celebrates the people, stories and creativity that make Brisbane such a dynamic city,” Mr Lin said.
“This three-year partnership gives us the opportunity to help bring culture into more people’s lives, from supporting a major exhibition in 2027 to a new guided tour and Museum of Brisbane pop-ups at Brisbane Quarter. We hope this partnership will contribute to a vibrant cultural life in Brisbane and help create experiences that inspire curiosity, conversation and a sense of wonder for many years to come.”
Museum of Brisbane CEO and Director Zoe Graham welcomed Shayher Group as Principal Partner, highlighting the Group’s commitment to Brisbane’s arts and cultural landscape.
“We are thrilled to welcome Shayher Group as Museum of Brisbane’s first Principal Partner. Their long-standing commitment to Brisbane and the arts makes them a natural partner for the Museum, and this support will help us create more opportunities for people to connect with the stories, creativity and character of our city,” Ms Graham said.
“The partnership will help take the Museum beyond our walls and into the heart of the community. It is an exciting opportunity to reach new audiences, support creative practice and invite more people to discover Brisbane through the lens of its artists, stories and people.”
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the partnership would support local artists while creating more free and affordable ways to experience arts and culture.
“Brisbane is home to a thriving creative community and partnerships like this help give local artists more opportunities to showcase their work,” Cr Schrinner said.
“Museum of Brisbane makes arts and culture accessible to everyone, with free and affordable experiences that give residents and visitors more to see and do in Australia’s lifestyle capital.”
