WHEN : 6th June, 6:00 – 9:00pm
WHERE : Ground Floor, E Block, South Bank Institute of Technology
During these past two years at South Bank Institute of Technology, the mid-year 2012 graduating students have challenged and developed their senses to create works of art, works that have been shaped by the people they are and who they are becoming.
With graduates originating from all walks of life, their experiences, memories and culture are ever present within their practices they have honed during their time at South Bank. It also commemorates the first class of STEP students to graduate since the program was introduced to high school seniors in 2009. STEP is offered to students in participating secondary schools; a program that begins an early involvement with tertiary education that culminates in a Diploma of Visual Arts.
With such a diverse range of creativity and talent, the 17 students graduating have much to offer the world awaiting them, come June this year. Practices that vary from drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and digital work will all be part of their graduating exhibition, with opening night commencing on Wednesday, June 6.
