50/50 is a Silent Auction fundraiser supporting the Emerging Artist Development Program. With more than 50 artists donating works, pieces will be sold in increments of $50.
The Emerging Artists Development Program [EADP] works with referees from the Special Circumstances Courts in Brisbane and has been running on “less than average” funds for years now. This is a unique program that over the past 5 years has given leadership in the arts and social services sectors in Brisbane and plays a significant part in the development of troubled youth, the growth of emerging artists, and a positive application of the rule of law through the judicial system. The program is mentor and relationship based and aims for the participants to expand their arts skills into canvas work, screen-printing and drawing.
Created, curated and organised by Yannick Blattner, Jaclyn Bates, Clinton Cunningham and Charmaine Malpago, it will be the gig to be at in 2012.
