Woolloongabba Art Gallery and Tiwi Design proudly present new works from the internationally acclaimed artisans of Tiwi Design.
This collection of paintings, artefacts, carvings and textiles incorporate the traditional with the contemporary and are specific to a remote island, where the Arafura mingles with the Timor Sea.
These objects are the voice of the Tiwi and speak for an ancient living culture, bringing the oldest surviving artistic traditions into the present day.
