Micro Histories is Museum of Brisbane’s latest exhibition exploring the relationship between architecture, art, people and place. In this sophisticated exhibit, artworks and artefacts and paired with buildings by six of Brisbane’s most well-known architectural firms.

Exhibiting architects include Marc&Co., Baber Studio, PHAB, Bureau Proberts, Anna O’Gorman Architects, M3 Architecture and Kevin O’Brien Architects alongside artists Carl Warner, Simon Degroot, Bruce Reynolds, Gwyn Hanssen Pigott, William Bustard, Jane Grealy, Sonja Carmichael and Gordon Bennett.

Co-curated with Cameron Bruhn, Head of Architecture at The University of Queensland, Micro Histories is presented as part of the Asia Pacific Architecture Forum, and is an initiative of Architectural Media and Museum of Brisbane.

In a special event, Museum of Brisbane in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Architects is presenting Micro Histories: Speed Date an Architect on Saturday 16 March. A favourite at the Museum, this unique event offers a series of 20-minute consultations with Brisbane-based architects. Participants are encouraged to bring along their photos, plans and DIY disaster stories to get the creative process started. Book your tickets today.
