WHEN: 2nd March 6-9pm
WHERE : QUT, Kelvin Grove, The Block

2011 sees Shape of Things to Come in its fifth year of exhibition. This annual showcase highlights the very best of art and design graduates from both the Creative Industries and Built Environment and Engineering faculties.

Shape of Things to Come is a dual platform exhibition with both an online space (shape.qut.edu.au), and physical space at The Block. The physical exhibition brings together works selected from the graduate nominees, and explores a particular theme present across the cohort. Overall, the exhibition aims to explore the presence of a common dialogue and narrative in the graduate selection.

Close In’ looks at the concept of connection between ideas, identities, places, cultures, and time in creative practice. In the works in Shape, we see practitioners linking concepts across disciplines and imaginative spaces to form intriguing and refreshing art and design.

The exhibition showcases work from Visual Arts, Fashion, Animation, Interactive and Visual Design, Media and Communication, Architectural Studies, Landscape Architecture, Industrial Design, and Interior Design.
