Join artist Mandy Quadrio and IMA Belltower curator Freja Carmichael in conversation, as they explore Quadrio’s use of culturally significant materials and her personal connection to sea Country.

Quadrio’s ‘The Country Within’ is the inaugural exhibition of the IMA Belltower, a year-long program dedicated to Queensland art exploring the meaning of place. In this solo exhibition palawa woman Quadrio presents a series of large-scale sculptures using a natural material rich with spiritual and cultural meaning: Tasmanian bull kelp.
