AMPLIFY ME! is Brisbane City Council’s newest Outdoor Gallery exhibition, transforming Brisbane’s laneways, streets and public spaces into an inclusive, citywide celebration of creativity, lived experience, and contemporary art. Curated by Nicole Crosswell, the exhibition features the work of ten Brisbane-based artists with lived experiences of disability, presenting installations, paintings, drawings, digital works, banners, projections and vitrines across the Brisbane CBD.
Grounded in inclusive arts practice, AMPLIFY ME! highlights collaboration, accessibility and diverse creative voices, inviting audiences to engage with artwork embedded directly in the fabric of the city. The program includes artist talks, workshops, tours, online interviews, social stories and accessible guides, designed to deepen public engagement and ensure barrier-free access to art.
Featuring artists Greg Chambers, Frazer Campbell, Ruby Herrenberg, Grace Lindeman, May Washington, Marcus Nunn, Rupert Campbell, Duane Doyle, William Melrose and Ella Doyle, the exhibition celebrates Brisbane’s cultural vibrancy and the importance of lived experience in shaping its artistic landscape.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner describes the exhibition as an example of “bringing bold, inspiring art into the heart of our city and making creativity accessible to everyone,” while curator Nicole Crosswell emphasises the authenticity and vision that shaped the curatorial framework.
AMPLIFY ME! spans multiple Outdoor Gallery locations including Fish Lane, Irish Lane, Edward Street vitrines, Eagle Lane, Hutton Lane, Giffin Lane, Edison Lane, Heritage Lanes, Howard Smith Wharves and Museum of Brisbane—each hosting artworks that explore storytelling, identity, connection, environmental awareness, and community belonging.
Free and open to the public through 2026, the exhibition showcases why Brisbane remains a national leader in inclusive, innovative public art.
