As part of the prize for winning the First Nations Artist Award at the 2025 Queensland Regional Art Awards, Charmaine Davis presents Jugun – Country, a solo exhibition at Flying Arts.
A proud Goori woman with connections to the Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung Nations, Davis draws deeply on the landscapes and waterways of Country. Her paintings explore ancestral connections, family, identity and community, sharing stories of her lineage while inviting audiences to reflect on their own relationship with the land.
