Onespace presents Wumera Nangamay: Muru Walan, a new exhibition by Brisbane-based artist KONSTANTINA exploring the ancient Muru (path or journey) connecting her Gadigal ancestors in the Sydney region with the Arabanoo peoples of the central desert.
Drawn to the enduring beauty and significance of Kati Thanda, KONSTANTINA’s richly layered paintings consider deep cultural connection, Country, memory and ancestral knowledge. As climate change alters flooding patterns and reshapes the region’s biodiversity, the works also reflect on a changing landscape and the enduring relationships between people and place.
Opening Event: Saturday 19 September, 5–7pm
Artist Talk: 4–5pm with Louise Martin-Chew
KONSTANTINA, Wumera Nangamay: Cracked Clay, 2026, Acrylic and natural earth pigments on linen, 101cm x 101cm.
