Alter is a solo exhibition by Brisbane-based photographer Lisa Ray, presented at Jan Manton Gallery in Teneriffe.
Working across flowers, portraiture and elemental forms, Ray explores moments suspended between dissolution and emergence. Light resembles fire, water becomes atmosphere, and organic forms drift between the familiar and imagined.
Created through a slow and intuitive process, the works explore transformation, surrender and renewal. Flowers bloom, fade and transform, while the human figure becomes another vessel within the same cycle of change.
Alter invites viewers into a contemplative space, asking what we choose to hold, what we are willing to release, and how quiet attention can become a site of transformation.
