The IMA presents the third and final On Rafman lecture, a series of short presentations by academics, artists, curators and writers examining the central themes of Jon Rafman’s Memento Hikikomori.

Audrey Jo Pfister presents ‘Notice me senpai, notice me!’ Simps, -cels, larp and Jon Rafman, exploring fandom, in-group signalling, memetic warfare and parasocial relationships surrounding Rafman’s work.

Nicholas Carah and Maria Gemma Brown present Culture That Eats its Own Vomit, examining Rafman’s Main Stream Media Network alongside the development of Instagram, TikTok, generative AI and algorithmically shaped digital culture.

Kyle Weise presents Nine Eyes: A Google Collab, examining Rafman’s ongoing Nine Eyes project and its intersection of street photography, desktop voyeurism, corporate databases and human/machine collaboration.
