The Murmur of Surfaces is a Moreton Bay Regional Council Art Collection In Perspective exhibition that showcases the strength and diversity of Sharon Jewell’s artistic career to date. The title, The Murmur of Surfaces, refers both to the material and compositional emphasis of much of the work in this exhibition. The drawings in her new body of work focus on objects that might be described simply as surfaces; such as paper, cloth and walls. Through processes of creasing, folding, tearing, stitching, and carving, Jewell makes quiet considerations on the strange qualities of surface materials.

Exhibition Opening: Saturday 09th May 10:30am
