KEPK is looking for expressions of interest from artists, curators and performers to join our 2023 program. This year, KEPK will be welcoming 10 exhibitions from external applicants into a program that emphasises experimental and interdisciplinary art forms, amplifying the work of local, interstate and international artists.
Applicants will be assessed on portfolio, feasibility of the proposal and the clarity of intention. Applications may be made through the form at the bottom of the page. The deadline is Friday April 17th 2023.
KEPK is committed to inclusivity, accessibility and collective intentions to uplift artworks and practitioners. The gallery aims to house ephemeral and meaningful experiences with the arts made possible through mutual support and innovative approaches to exhibiting.
Curated Group Exhibitions
For artists looking for smaller exhibition opportunities in Brisbane, we are also calling out for a number of group exhibitions to take place in 2023. First and foremost is Coast to Coast, an exhibition invites artists based in Sunshine and Gold coasts to connect and show work in Brisbane. The exhibition fee is waived and commission will on works sold will be 30%.
Music/sound performance
With deep roots in Brisbane’s experimental sound and music culture, KEPK is also a prime location for sonic exploration and performance. Through ‘Special K’ club nights, the annual Dronefest and guest music programming from Made Now Music and various collectives, KEPK hopes to continue as a centre for Brisbane’s music community.
