$10K grants for Australian artists are now available for exciting projects that offer successful alternatives to in-person participation to communities living in Penrith’s priority neighbourhoods.
The creative challenge of the Magnetic Places program is to deliver projects that enable meaningful access and participation for residents and uncover positive narratives of the places where they live and congregate.
Successful projects will offer participants rich experiences in safe settings, starting in 2021, and then share project outcomes with the wider community through place activations in St Mary’s town centre in 2022.
Broader access to projects has been championed by the disability sector for many years. Through Magnetic Places, Penrith City Council aims to showcase successful approaches that can used at any time to engage and include many different people.
Contact Council to discuss your project ideas and learn more about local communities, services and locations.
