The contemporary Japanese term nerikomi refers to patterns achieved by laminations of coloured clays. The patterning becomes integral to the clay body rather than a topical decoration.
Anne will demonstrate and teach you her incredible nerikomi forming technique. Using layers of coloured porcelain, you’ll practice this amazing technique to create your own unique, delicate Nerikomi buttons or brooches. Anne will take your creations home to fire in her studio and will post them to you.
