QUT holds a significant collection of international works on paper by 20th century luminaries such as Alexander Calder, David Hockney, William Kentridge, Fernand Leger, Sol LeWitt, Joan Miro, Henry Moore and Joe Tilson. Individually, many of these works have never been exhibited and certainly never as a comprehensive collection focus. The scarcity of holdings of works on paper by international artists outside of major state and national collections contextualises the QUT Art Collection as one of national and international significance.
